As Special Projects Manager, Boshnack helped maintain the relationship and connection between both the print and web properties. She also organized, planned, and booked the annual New York Awards on NBC, produced special Best Bets and Best Restaurants guides for circulation, wrote copy for newsstand posters and promotional items, and was the liaison for all public relations efforts and press conferences. In addition, Boshnack conducted weekly reader surveys, employed a staff to compile the results, and then analyzed and suggested changes based on those results. She also restructured and ran an intensive internship program, which produced a lot of talent for the magazine.

NEW YORK SPECIAL ISSUES
As Managing Editor for New York Family, New York Weddings, and New York Shops, Boshnack coordinated and oversaw all editorial, art, photo, art production, production, and ad inclusion. She established the budgets and deadlines as well as contributed original content and editing. She kept costs low by introducing a pre-close system, which led to fewer corrections and lower expenditures. Boshnack also hired and managed the freelance staff that helped to produce these books and then she went on-air to promote them.

As Managing Editor to the largest woman’s magazine in the country, Boshnack created monthly line-ups, ran weekly art, fashion, and visuals meetings, and set deadlines for photo shoots, illustrations, story assignments, and celebrity bookings. She maintained the budget for the entire magazine and oversaw all human resource issues for the staff of 45. In addition, Boshnack acted as liaison to the Publishing and Marketing departments for all sponsored projects and helped to reorganize deadlines in order to institute a rolling close.
